Hallowed Ground S1 E4 “Week 1” | Iowa Bow Hunting

Just as in the other weekly web shows, Joe Sir is experiencing increasingly better movement as the weather cools down and October progresses into November. In Season 1, Episode 3 Joe relives “week 1” of Iowa bow hunting. This deer hunting video is packed full of hunting action, but more importantly, it touches on the other tips and footage collected across Muddy TV.

During this episode you witness Joe hunting and performing a variety of October bow hunting strategies including making mock scrapes,  hunting over brassica food plots, deer hunting cold fronts, hunting transition areas between food sources and bedding areas, and harvesting meat for the freezer. Joe sir connects with a doe, but throughout the episode, you see several encounters with small and young bucks in brassica food plots, around acorns, and in the transition areas.

As the month of October progresses into November, these common food sources will fluctuate in attractiveness and action. Be sure to check back into Muddy TV  to see what hunting strategies and trail camera strategies you should employ each and every week of deer season.

You also witness Joe hunting from a variety of Muddy products including Muddy’s Bale Blind and hang-on tree stands. In last week’s episode, you witnessed Joe hunting with his son Drake out of a Muddy Bull Box Blind. This goes to show you that employing several tactics and hunting setups can be a successful strategy for October.
